Part of our mission as a Church is to be a positive force for good in the world. We support a varied list of charities by donating our time as volunteers and by raising money through donations, coffee mornings, and one-off events.

CHARITIES IN FOCUS

1. WHITECHAPEL MISSION

Founded in 1876, Whitechapel Mission has given friendship, love and support to the poor and homeless in London. We support this Methodist charity each Harvest and Christmastime. Our annual collection of men's and women's clothing, shoes, wrapped chocolate bars and toiletries is taking place on a Saturday 22 November

Paddy and Sue Gallaugher recently visited Kathmandu and visited several children who are supported by good people here in Marlow : amongst these, Gracy Magar is a delightful eleven year-old young girl. Both her parents are alive, but struggle to afford basic food costs. The contributions made by members of MMC have been a huge blessing in meeting schooling expenses for both Gracy and until recently her elder sister. Mr Thapa Magar tried to express their thanks. It was humbling to listen to him. We accepted his gracious and eloquently expressed remarks on your behalf. We assured them that our Church was pleased to provide help, especially when recipients were also faithful believers. The attached picture shows Gracy in the arms of Swarnim, Manager of HCH. Gracy is holding gifts received from her MMC supporters
