A Church community, serving the Marlow Community
We are a living community of people who can relate to each other in many ways.
Above all we are a group of people trying to make sense of living in our world, particularly at this time of worldwide crisis.
There's a place for you in our community, too.
Our aim is to be a family church offering activities and worship to suit all ages and encouraging a supportive Christian community, with opportunities for prayer and Bible study, fellowship, music and community service.
At a national and international level, we are part of the world-wide Methodist Church and keen supporters of Christian Aid, NCH Action for Children, the Whitechapel Mission and other outreach projects at home and abroad.
Welcome from Rev Kate Strange
Rev Kate Strange writes:
Greetings to you all; my name is Rev’d Kate Strange and I am the Minister here at Marlow Methodist Church, which hosts our five-year-old Ark Café as part of our community mission outreach. As I begin my fifth year as minister here, I reflect on how our church seamlessly blends community and worship, keeping doors open 7 days a week to groups, friends, families, and anyone needing someone to talk to. Everyone is welcome to join our vibrant, interactive activities throughout the week. Our volunteers hold a special place in our hearts as we share in their growth and journeys toward new ventures.
It is an exciting time to be part of Marlow Methodist Church as we move forward together. On the first Sunday of the month, we offer contemporary services with modern songs—an inclusive, family worship experience perfect for those new to church. We also offer a traditional communion service once a month for those seeking standard liturgy, alongside drama and creative worship led by myself, local preachers, and our fantastic worship leaders. I feel we are very much guided by the words of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," in this season, we remain a friendly, forward-looking church, seeking God’s wisdom, justice, and compassion through the Holy Spirit as we invite you to join us at the café or our services.
WE MEET TOGETHER
Whether it's in person or via our Online Services, we believe in the power of worship and community to lift our spirits and connect us spirtually to each other and to God.
We also run special activities for children and families:
